Hampton to Bath Ride Preview
This 138 mile ride begins at
the Dunkin' Donuts on Route 1 (369 Lafayette Rd), Hampton,
NH 03842 (map).

The route travels
north on NH Route 1 along the ocean. Since it will be early on a
weekday, we should have the scenic curves to ourselves.
NH Route 1
on NH 1B to New Castle Island and then island hop to Portsmouth. Cross
the Piscataqua River to Maine.
Follow ME Route 103
north through Kittery Point to York Harbor. Turn right on Route 1A and
follow it north along the ocean to Nubble Light.
Leave Nubble and
ride north on curvy, fun Shore Road to Ogunquit. Turn right on Israel
Head Rd and ride along Marginal Way to the Light.

Return to Shore
Road via Stearns Road and ride north to Route 1 in Ogunquit. Follow
Route 1 north to Wells and then turn right on Bourne Ave and
follow it to the ocean. Turn left on Ocean Ave and follow it along
the Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve and the ocean to
Well's Point. Return to Route 1 and ride north. Turn right on
Route 9 and ride to Four Corners. Turn right on Sea Rd and proceed
to Kennebunk Beach. Turn left on Beach Ave and ride along the
ocean to Kennebunkport.
Follow Ocean Ave to Walker Point
and the Bush Compound. Be sure to check out nearby
Blowing Cave Park and the Dolphin Tree Carving.
Return to Route 9
and continue on log Cabin Rd to Route 1 and lunch at
After lunch, follow Route
1 and I-95 around Old Orchard Beach to Scarborough. Follow Route
207 east to Route 77. Turn left on Route 77 and ride to Pond Cove.
Turn right on Shore Rd and follow it to Fort Williams Park and the Portland Head Light.

Continue north to Portland
and stop at Fort Allen Park.
Leave Portland and follow
Route 1 and Route 88 north to Yarmouth. Ride S. Freeport Rd to Porter
Landing and then turn right on Pleasant Hill Rd. Ride north to
Brunswick and finish up with Route 1 East to Bath.
