The Inn at
Mount Snow - South Dover
- The Inn is located on Route 100 at the base of Mount Snow in Dover.
Central
Old Hancock Hotel - Hancock - Great bang for
the buck. Full kitchens and 2 bedrooms. Great restaurant downstairs.
No AC. Right on 125 at corner of Route 100. Near great motorcycle
roads like 17, 73, 108, 12, 14, 73, Lincoln Gap, and Bethel Mountain. (Easy Ed)
Northern
Commodores Inn
- Stowe - A nice hotel with great amenities that is very biker
friendly. Covered parking out front and a nice breakfast buffet. They
really looked out for us during the New England-Canada ride. (Easy Ed)
Hilltop Inn -
Montpelier - An employee owned 81 room hotel with cable TV, indoor
pool and high speed Internet. Clean and spacious rooms. Remodeled in
2005. Onsite restaurant serves a nice breakfast. Paved
parking. Price $55 and up, season dependent. Highly recommended.

Mainstay - South
Burlington -
A chain on Rte 7
that we stay at often (most places that I recommend would be
good for a larger family or shared with another couple) is in South
Burlington VT. Rte 7 is NOT a good road to ride on. Lots of traffic
and traffic lights to deal with. The good thing about this hotel is
most rooms are 2 bedroom suites, with huge bathrooms, full living
rooms, full kitchens. All for under $200 per night. This is the only
one in New England, and being in Burlington VT you are not too far
away from some great site seeing or perfect motorcycle riding. This
one is pretty close to the 189 connector that will bring you to I91.
Or close to downtown Burlington where you can take the ferry to NY.

Coast
(Down East)
Craignair Inn - If
you want to stay off the beaten path a bit up in this area, Michelle &
I enjoyed our stay here when we visited the
Owl's Head
Transportation Museum
this past fall. This place is truly off the path, you are 20 min away
from any stores or restaurants. Although they have a small restaurant
at the inn we don't recommend it. Our meals were rather expensive
and not very good. The Inn itself was very pleasant, our room off in
the building behind the main
building
was very clean and private. The parking lot is loose stone, but hidden
from the main road. The
view from the
front
lawn of the rocky shore was nice to look at even on a rainy night
when we were there. (OSJ)
Milliken House -
Eastport
-
Mary and Bill were very nice hosts. They serve a
very nice breakfast, the room was great and reasonable ($65 which
included breakfast), Mary baked a banana cream pie on Sunday night
which was delicious and got up early to see me off on Monday morning.
She even gave me a hug as I said goodbye. I may go back to Eastport
just to stay there again. (Sean)
Trade Winds Motor
Lodge -
A very nice place to stay at that will not break the bank in downtown
Rockland. Located at the corner of Park & Main st. Rockland can be a
busy summer town, but just head a little south or North from here and
it is a beautiful place to ride. Downtown Rockland is full of little
shops, a great little restaurant
"Rockland Cafe" with
an awesome breakfast. You will also find a small movie theater right
on Main street as well. After a relaxing day of explore down east
Maine its nice to come back to this little town and to be able to walk
around. (OSJ)
West
The River View Resort -
Bethel -
Run by Chad & his lovely wife. Right in the middle
of one of the greatest area's to ride your motorcycle in. Plus
when you come back to a 2 bedroom condo with a full kitchen and living
room it makes your trip so much nicer. There is a pool and hot tub, I
haven't tried them out yet. Then
Suds Pub
right down the street for some great steak tips, how can you go wrong?

The Villager
Motel - Williamstown
-
One night when I was far from home and unexpectedly needed a place to
stay, Sam & Wendy (the owners), were happy to have my business.
They showed how I could park my MC just outside my room & away from
any prying eyes on the main road. Accommodations were clean, simple &
included a Continental breakfast in the main office. I told them I'd
recommend their place to my fellow NERds and they seemed pleased by
that.

Tupper
Lake Motel - Beth and I stay at this motel in Tupper Lake, N.Y.
Clean, inexpensive and very biker friendly. When we go there, we spend
2 or 3 nights and use it as a hub for day rides of 200 miles or so. (OLRON)
Ramada Inn - New Hartford - We had 45 bike in 94 and they gave us
the Main. area to park our bikes,Next to the pool :) .. It had a gate
we could close at night. They are Biker firendly and offer group
discount for the rooms.. GREAT riding area not far from Oswago Ny
which now has over 15ft of snow lol..I never thought of NY as wine
country BUT alot of wineries up there for he wino's here lol..I ll
think of more as my brain clears :) (OldRadco)
Catskills
Washington
Irving Inn - Tannersville - Nice Bed and Breakfast in the heart of
the Catskills. Not cheap, but worth it. Great breakfast and afternoon
tea included. Right next door to
Chateau Belleview which is a great,
reasonable French restaurant. Right on 23A, very close to Platte Cove
Road and Route 214. (Easy Ed)
