Aero Diner - Windham - N41 44.275 W72 10.837. 361 Boston Post Road (Route 6) in North Windham, in front of North Windham Airport. Most excellent Reuben. This is a place worth going to. One of my favs. (NomadWillie)

B.T. Lanes BBQ - Griswold - It has indoor and outdoor seating. Today was an outside kinda day. I ordered the REBEL Sandwich. A Pulled pork and cole slaw sandwich on that Chibatta square bread I like. The sauce had, at least to me, a vinigar and maple syrup taste to it. VERY good! The slaw had an onion taste to it that I don't care for. Pam ordered up a Brisket sandwich with onins and monterey jack that was very good! Portions were decent but not huge and the platters included Fries and Slaw. Definitely a place I will return to. Ekonk Hill Turkey Farm - Sterling - 227 Ekonk Hill Road in Sterling. (Road Dawg)

Rein's Deli Restaurant - Vernon - Best Jewish Deli I have found so far in NE. Just like Joisey Deli's (NY just copies Joisey for Deli's) N41 49.752 W72 28.879 (NomadWillie)

Steak Loft - Mystic - Good steak, great salad bar. For lunch try the sliced steak on toast with garlic butter which can be found on the "quick bites in the lounge" menu.

Stoggy Hollow Restaurant - Woostock

The Vanilla Bean Cafe - Pomfret

Connecticut (Central)

Bill's Seafood - Westbrook - 548 Boston Post Road. (Hawkmoon)

Blackies - Cheshire - For dogs you gotta try this place sometime. Homemade relish to die for and the dogs are cooked great. (STDave3)

Harry's Drive-In - Colchester

Lenny & Joe's Fish Tale - Madison & Westbrook

Libby's - New Haven - 139 Worcester St., Terrific Italian ices and pastries. A few stores east of Pepe's Pizzeria. - (Easy Ed)

Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana - New Haven - Very good quality New Haven style pizza (coal oven gives a crisp, blackened crust.) - (Easy Ed)

Modern Apizza - New Haven - Very good quality New Haven style pizza (oil fired oven gives a crisp, blackened crust.) - (Easy Ed)

Pat's Kountry Kitchen - Old Saybrook - (Hawkmoon)

Sally's Apizza - New Haven - Very good quality New Haven style pizza (coal oven gives a crisp, blackened crust.) - (Easy Ed)

Saybrook Point Dock and Dine - Old Saybrook - (Hawkmoon)

Shady Glen - Manchester, CT - It's only 15 minutes or so from my house and I never knew it was there. In a word, "EXCELLENT!" We both had the cheeseburgers with a side of slaw and fries. And a killer chocolate milk shake! - (Dave)

Ted's Restaurant - Meriden - 1044 Broad St. 203-237-6660. N41 32.809 W72 46.988  These guys steam their hamburgers and got some kind of cheese on it. It is worth at least one visit for the experience. This place is really small. (NomadWillie)

Willoughby's Coffee &Tea -  Madison - Great coffee and pastries.

Connecticut (Western)

Belgique Pātisserie & Chocolatier - Kent - nice chocolate and pastry near some great riding.

Bridgeport Flyer Diner - 249 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. (Hawkmoon)

Collins Diner - North Canaan - Routes 44 and 7. N42 01.619 W73 19.778. Great area to ride around. Lime Rock race track is out this way. Nice classic diner. I had a BLT so to rate it based on this would be wrong. Sassy waitress. (NomadWillie)

Nodine's Smokehouse - Goshen - It's down a little driveway that makes you think you're pulling into someone's private property. The weather warmed up just enough to sit outside at the picnic tables, which is their only seating accommodations. But the sandwiches were out of this world, not to mention the fudge that Carl and Bob fought over for dessert. (shortpam)

The Cook House - New Milford - Right on rte 7. Great place for ribs! (Siggy2002)

Five Guys Famous Burgers and Fries - Orange - 440 Boston Post Road. (Hawkmoon)

Rawley's Drive-In - Fairfield - You can get a deep fried hotdog smothered in bacon and sauerkraut ( I skipped the kraut and got double bacon). Boy was it good! (OSJ)

Super Duper Weenie - Fairfield - When Gary the owner is cooking, the dogs are exceptional. I especially liked the Chicagoan dog although I don't remember any sport peppers. It did taste very fresh. The New Englander I was expecting, to taste like most other dogs from around here, but the red spicy relish gave it a different flair. I was pleasantly surprised. There is a slaw dog and another that don't remember. The fries are skin on. They're best eaten hot. They also have a sausage sandwich on a Portuguese roll called a Mighty Ity. Either hot or mild sausage. He doesn't overcook the sausage so it is still juicy. All in all. I have added it to my list of places to stop. I stop whenever I'm in the area and have the time. (Frankman)

Toymakers Cafe - Falls Village -   its more than just a place to eat.  When you walk into Greg and Ann Bidou's little cafe you feel like your in house for a visit with friends.  Why, well because they are bikers, and they make great food.  Out back Greg will be more then willing to take you thru his old collection of British iron, many bikes he is still in the process of rebuilding :)  (OSJ)
