Vermont (South)

Blue Ben Diner - Bennington - (Phil/n1gam)

Bob’s Diner - Manchester - located on route 11/30. The views along this road that goes over Bromley mountain are simply fantastic and Bob's diner would be a great place to stop along the way

The Bryant House Restaurant - Weston - Traditional New England Fare at the Vermont Country Store

Chelsea Royal Diner - Brattleboro - Route 9 W & Marlboro Rd. (802) 254-8399 N42 51.008 W72 35.094 (this might be a wee bit off). You should stop at this place on the way to Rt 100. Has a classic Diner attached to expanded restaurant. Good breakfast and dinners too. (NomadWillie)

Country Creemee - Perkinsville - junction of VT106 & VT131. Takeout window & outdoor dining only - no alcohol - (racin' chef)

Curtis' BBQ - Putney - (Marauder)

Dot's - Wilmington - Another favorite in VT is Dot's in Wilmington great homemade food, good prices and usually a great selection of homemade pies too. Parking is limited in the back of the restaurant. If you can find street parking it may be easier. (Magilla)

Miss Bellows Falls Diner - Bellows Falls - 90 Rockingham St. 802-463-9800 N43 08.176 W72 26.868. Another classic diner with great roads to get there. Hey it's in Vt. I had breakfast here and it was good, but I think I should of had the hamburger. Another worthwhile destination. (NomadWillie)

Skyline Restaurant - Marlboro - Summit of HogBack Mtn (Phil/n1gam). The skyline had wonderful views out the front windows, and looked like a classic mountain restaurant.  The day Michelle & I went they were out of half of the items on the menu.  No potatoes for french fries?  This was on a beautiful Saturday in July.  You can park across the street but be careful crossing rt 9 right there, blind corner both ways. (OSJ)

Townshend Dam Diner - Townshend - (Phil/n1gam). Dam Diner has lots of parking but it is a dirt parking lot so bring your kickstand plate. You can see the bikes from inside. I am not certain what day it is but they are closed one day mid week, I almost want to say Tuesday.....but I won't :) Here is a link that reviews the Dam Diner and gives all the info as well. Vermont (Central)

Dan's Windsor Diner - Windsor - N43 28.732 W72 23.220 A Fantastic Hamburger. One of the best I have ever had. Great roads. This is worth the trip. (NomadWillie)

Eaton's Sugarhouse - South Royalton - junction of VT107 & VT14. Great pancakes w/real maple syrup, super omelets,  7-7 summer  7-3 winter, a racinchef *** rating - (racin' chef)

Old Hancock Hotel - Hancock - Great home cooked soups and meals served in an old Inn/ Restaurant. Great roads nearby. - (Easy Ed)

P&H Truck Stop - Wells River

Peavine Restaurant - VT107 Stockbridge - takeout ice cream window, indoor & outdoor dining (racin' chef)

Peppers Lodge & Restaurant - Warren - The best place for breakfast in north/central vt that I found is a little lodge at the base of Mt Sugarbush. I've never spent the night here, but the breakfast is top notch for sure.  German Flats road is a very fun road, and your only a couple miles away from Rt17. (OSJ)

Tozier's Restaurant - VT107 Bethel  takeout window & outdoor dining as well as indoor dining - (racin' chef)

The Warren Store - Warren - is the greatest little store in the Universe?  Well maybe so, but for sure a neat place to stop and get a bite to eat. It is not really a sit down restaurant, but they do have a full deli and make killer sandwiches.  I like to sit outside on the deck over looking the little stream that runs right next to it when I go.  Its right in the heart of VT on rt100, in Warren VT. (OSJ)

Woodstock Country Club - Woodstock - VT106 just south of Woodstock Village. Pricey fare, but well worth it  open Mother's Day - Halloween daily 11-3. - (racin' chef)

Vermont (North)

Al's French Fries- South Burlington - Not really in a good area to ride in. Lots of traffic lights and many stores. But its worth the visit for sure. Great little greasy burgers and the fries are not all that bad :) (OSJ)

Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream - Waterbury - More of a destination then a place to eat,  but we NERd's love Ice Cream as well.  They have a fun factory tour that ends with free samples. Or you can just go inside and get some ice cream and walk around the Flavor grave yard while you drip it all over yourself, like I do!  Its right on rt100 in Waterbury VT. (OSJ)

Cabot Annex Store - Waterbury - Okay, not really a restaurant as well, But you can fill your belly here for sure.  The Cabot side sells every kind of cheese you can think of, plus tons of free samples throughout the whole store.  Crackers, cheese, jelly's & Jams. Plenty to eat for free when you stop buy.   Plus in the same building, right next door is Lake Champlain Chocolates store. Not too many samples here, but from what Michelle says its a great place for the chocolate nut.  This is right on Rt100 north of Ben & Jerry's but south of Stowe.  For the kids downstairs is the Vermont Teddy Bear outlet store, so you can pick something up for the kids at home. (OSJ)

Gracie's -Stowe - has always been a great place to stop for lunch or dinner.  I see they have moved to a new location from when I was there last. They also have a neat gift shop with a Dog theme ( Gracie was their dog ) My daughter Gracie loved eating after at a restaurant with her name on the front door. Plus your right at the beginning of rt 108 which goes over Smuggler's Notch.  A great motorcycle road for sure. This area is pretty  crowed during the summer weekends, especially downtown Stowe - (OSJ)

158 Restaurant and Bakery - Jefferson - a great place for lunch (now also serves breakfast and dinner per their web site).  Interesting sandwiches and other fare that are done exceptionally well.  Highly recommended.  (GoldWingBob1)

Sarducci's Restaurant - Montpelier - wood fired oven pizza and other traditional northern Italian dishes - entrees $8 to $16, and a fun atmosphere. Reservations are strongly recommended even for two people  - this place gets busy - because it's very good. (GoldWingBob1)
