This 228 mile ride starts tamely
going south out of Lake George. It does not stay tame for long. Check
out these curves on Luzerne Rd/ Glens Falls Mountain Rd. The curves
are even better that they look on the map.

Now that your tires are
warmed up, it is time to ride one of the Adirondack's best roads. North Shore Rd (CR4)
is one of the best twisty roads in the
Adirondacks and deserves its
England status. There are
great views of Great Sacandaga Lake and the twists never stop - great

Now you can relax and let
your heart recover as turn north on scenic Route 30 (BONE Road) and
begin to climb. Route 30 follows the Sacandaga River and is quite
scenic during this stretch. The is great views of Lake Pleasant in
Speculator and of Indian Lake as Route 30 nears the junction with
Route 28. Then a quick ride south on Route 28 to the town of North

From North Creek the route
becomes a fantastic twisty loop that starts with a great twisty
stretch of Route 28N.
This is my favorite part
of 28N with good pavement and great curves. The loop turns east for a
great run on CR2 to North Hudson. There are some great twists at the
western end and then good sweepers as you ride further east. Next is a
short ride south on Route 9 along beautiful Schroon Lake. Stop at the
Stewart's and walk across the street to the beach, the bandstand, and
The loop finishes with
one of my favorite Adirondacks twisties - CR24 (Hoffman Road). This
has GREAT twists and elevation changes. What a blast!
North Creek is a
good place for lunch. Try
Izzy's Market & Deli,
or other North
Creek Restaurant (reviews).
The ride finishes with a
scenic ride south on CR29, Route 28, and CR13. Then a final run on
Route 418 which crosses the Hudson River and then curves along the
banks of the Schroon River on the way to Route 35, Diamond Point, and
Prospect Mountain. This nice mountain ride is open
10-5 and costs $5 per motorcycle. Be sure to park your bike near the
top and take the shuttle to the summit.
Return down the mountain
to the hotel.
