Naskeag Point. Naskeag has a nice view from the boat launch and the is
a small park with picnic tables. The General Store has an uneven dirt

the Point usually has seasonal toilets.

Nervous Nellie's Jams and Jellies.
The owners are very excited that we are coming. The husband Peter is a
sculptor who displays work all around the property and has written
children's stories about Nervous Nellie. There is a small cafe with
tea, coffee, and homemade pastries.

Map 6 below shows the
historic town of Castine. Did you know that Castine Harbor is the site
of the biggest U.S. naval disaster before Pearl Harbor? Paul Revere
was tried for cowardice after the debacle. Plenty of parking and
restrooms at the pier (#30 on the map). Walk over to
Bah's Bakehouse
that you can access from Main Street for a nice lunch and homemade
baked goods.

Map 7 below shows Fort Knox
and the Observatory atop the
Penobscot Narrows Bridge.
Park by the fort for both locations. Your observatory ticket is good
for the fort as well. Enjoy the great view from the Observatory.
