This 150 mile ride visits some of the best roads between Lake Placid, NY and White River Junction, VT. Highlights include Adirondack LOJ, Cascade Lake, Hurricane Road, NY Route 73, Tracy Road, Edgemont Road, NY Route 22 along Lake Champlain, Crown Point, the Champlain Bridge, VT Route 17, VT Route 23, VT Route 125, Middlebury Gap, Texas Falls, VT Route 100, VT Route 107, and VT Route 14.
Leave Lake Placid on NY Route 73 south. Turn right on pretty Adirondack LOJ Road. This road leads to a lodge that hikers use as a base for exploring the Adirondacks High Peaks. We are not going to ride to the end, but will turn around at Last Chance Ranch.
Resume riding south on NY Route 73 to Cascade Lake on the right. Park your bike and explore this stunning park.

*** Beware leaving Cascade Lake as the right turn onto NY Route 73 east is very tight. ***
Continue on Route 73 to Keene. Turn left on Hurricane Road and enjoy this great twisty. Beware of sand and debris that often show up on this road.
Turn right on NY Route 9N and then left on NY Route 73 south. Cross I-87 and then turn left on Tracy Road. This is one of the very best twisty roads in the Northeast.
Turn right on Moriah Rd and the left on Edgemont Road. There are some great views as this road descends to Lake Champlain.
Turn right on NY Route 22 and ride along Lake Champlain to Bridge Street. Turn left and ride to Crown Point Historic Park on the left. The park has the remains of a British fort, a French fort, and has a great view of the Champlain Bridge.
Cross the Champlain Bridge into Vermont and bear left onto VT Route 17. This road crosses pretty farmland on its way to Addison. Turn right on curvy VT Route 23 and ride to Middlebury, VT. Turn south on U.S. Route 7 and then left on VT Route 125. Pass the Robert Frost Interpretive Trail, the Bread Loaf Campus, Middlebury Gap, and Texas Falls on the way to Hancock.
Turn right on VT Route 100 and ride south through Rochester to Stockbridge. Turn left on VT Route 107. In Royalton, turn right on VT Route 14 and follow the White River all the way to White River Junction. Consider the Tuckerbox for a great lunch.
