This 253 mile ride visits the Northern Adirondacks and crosses into Ontario. The ride follows the St. Lawrence River affording great views. Highlights include NY Route 30 north to Paul Smiths, Barnum Pond, County Route 25 along the Salmon River, the Seaway International Bridge, the Long Sault Parkway, CR-4 along the St. Lawrence River, the Ogdensburg-Prescott Bridge, NY Route 56, Tupper Lake Waterfront Park, Saranac Lake, Fish Creek Pond, Horseshoe Pond, Forest Home Road, Lake Flower, and McKenzie Pond Road.
Leave Lake Placid on NY Route 86 west. Turn right on NY Route 73 west to Saranac Lake. Turn right on Route 86 north and follow it and Route 186 to NY Route 30. Turn right on Route 30 north and enjoy some great curves to Paul Smiths. Continue north past Barnum Pond to Malone. Turn right on Fayette Road and then bear left at the Salmon River on CR-25. Ride north while enjoying pretty river views.
Take NY Route 37 to Massena and cross the Seaway International Bridge into Ontario. The crossing is odd in that you pay the bridge toll in Ontario before visiting Canadian Customs.
Turn left on 2nd Street and follow it and Power Dam Road to Route 2. Turn left on Route 2 and begin following the St. Lawrence River west. Turn left in Long Sault and begin riding the Long Sault Parkway. This will be a highlight of the ride with great river views.

Rejoin Route 2 and follow it west to Morrisburg. Turn left on Laurier drive and ride through Waterfront Park and then bear left on CR-4 to stay along the river. There are great views along this stretch. Rejoin Route 2 and ride west to the Tim Horton’s in Iroquois.
Ride west on Route 2 to Johnstown. Cross the St. Lawrence on the Ogdensburg Prescott International Bridge. Stop at U.S. Customs and then pay the bridge toll.
Ride into Ogdensburg for lunch. Reverse direction and ride NY Route 68 to Colton. Turn right on NY Route 56 and enjoy this scenic and curvy gem. Turn left on NY Route 3 and ride my favorite part of this road to Tupper Lake. Notice Tupper Lake Waterfront Park on your right.

Continue east on Route 3 and then turn left on NY Route 30 in Harrietstown. Ride north on a nice curvy stretch past Upper Saranac Lake, Fish Creek Pond, and Horseshoe Pond.
Turn right on Forest Home Road for one of the better curvy roads in Adirondack Park. Turn left on Route 3 and ride to Saranac Lake. Notice the great views of Lake Flower on the right.
Bear left on McKenzie Pond Road and follow it and NY Route 86 east to Lake Placid.
