The Granite State’s underlying geology has created an area full of riding opportunities. The White Mountains are clearly the top draw of the state, with magnificent mountain views, nice sweepers, and beautiful rivers and ponds along the way. The Lakes region around Laconia and Lake Winnipesaukee offers plenty of scenic cruising opportunities. There are plenty of twisty back roads scattered throughout the state, though beware of pavement conditions (esp frost heaves) on roads that haven’t been resurfaced recently. NER has complete Day Rides listed on this site for every portion of the state, hitting all the best roads.
