NER Notes
The Cape Ann / North Shore ride is a delight. Starting at DD in Gloucester, you travel around Cape Ann through Rockport staying close to the shore, taking in the sights of the Atlantic, Twin Lights, Bear Skin Neck and the Stone Zoo with real stone animals.
After Gloucester you will hit some great twisties and onto Cranes Castle Hill, where there is a $5 entrance fee that is well worth the cost of admission. Onto Little Neck that may or not be closed.
Rounding out the trip you will hit a few well graded dirt roads that can be ridden by all bikes. Back to Gloucester, the Fish Peer, Eastern Point Lighthouse and more specular views of the Atlantic. Depending on the time of year, this may be a slow ride with traffic, but the views are worth the time.
