NER Notes

This loop visits most of the best roads in Eastern Massachusetts. Some roads are very twisty. Lunch is at Kimball Farm in Westford. Although this loop is only 117 miles, it will seem longer due to the technical roads. A nice ride!

Rode the route on Sat 2nd of May 2020. Broken up into two legs departing from Berlin after collecting a friend. We didn't complete the full route as we had other commitments, it was a fun ride through many areas and roads we didn't know existed. We bailed out in Carlisle due to time, you should expect the timing to be regulated by local traffic and twists/turns. It's really a very nice meander, not something you'll be able to ride above posted speed limits.

Last comment, the gravel section is relatively short.

How were the road conditions at the time you RECENTLY rode?

    Very Good - minor imperfections

I give this 5 stars due  to its location. This route is mostly between 495 and 128, minutes from Boston yet is a fun 117 mile loop. I have ridden this route 3 times, traffic has always been light. Most of the roads are fantastic twisty roads though some scenic and historic areas in Massachusetts. Most recent ride was on 3/17/20, most roads were in good shape.
