Northeast Vermont , also known as the North East Kingdom (NEK), is sometimes referred to as “the last of old Vermont.” It combines curvy roads with pretty & remote countryside.
Highlights include VT Route 102 along the Connecticut River, VT 114 along the Canadian border, VT 111, VT 5A, Willoughby Falls, Lake Willoughby, Burke Mountain ($5), Crawford Notch, and Pinkham Notch.
Lunch is at the Miss Lyndonville Diner or Cafe Sweet Basil (Wed-Fri).
