Lake Placid is the jewel of the High Peaks region of the northern Adirondacks. This town still has many sites to explore from the 1980 Olympics, including the bobsled runs and the ski jump. Riders can also take NY 431 (toll) to the top of Whiteface Mountain for a stunning view.
This ride follows NY 30 into the heart of the northern Adirondacks, past the Adirondacks’ tallest peaks, and skirts the Olympic town of Lake Placid. Riders will get to ride Forest Home Rd & NY 431 (BONE Route) to the top of Whiteface Mountain. Things get exciting when the ride hits Hurricane Road before ending with a pretty ride on US 9 by Schroon Lake en route to Lake George.
Lunch in Keene at the Forty Six Restaurant.
