Southeast Vermont is a beautiful mix of scenic farms and quaint towns. Highlights include: BONE roads VT 100, Kingdom Road/Tyson Road, VT 131, VT 30, VT 35, East-West Road, and Dover Road; the Vermont Country Store, Dummerston Bridge, Top of the Hill Grill, Grafton, Chester, and the summit of Mount Ascutney.
This ride follows some of Vermont’s best roads. The ride begins with VT 100 south to Kingdom Road/Tyson Road. which is a fun twisty between Routes 100 and 106. Turn back west on VT 131, a scenic road that runs along the Black River. Route 100 through Weston is one of Vermont’s prettiest roads. While in Weston, check out the original Vermont Country Store.
Dover Road is twisty and scenic and leads to Dummerston Bridge. After crossing the bridge, ride great East-West Road which is one of the best rides in this region. Enjoy lunch at the Top of the Hill Grill in Brattleboro. Ride north on VT 30 and VT 35 to the beautiful towns of Grafton and Chester. Ride to the top of pretty Mount Ascutney. Finally, follow VT 106 to Woodstock and then VT 4 back to Killington.
