NER Notes

Vermont’s Piedmont Region is the foothills that run roughly from Route 89 east to the New Hampshire border. The Piedmont is an area of rolling hills, forests, and farms. A day in the Piedmont is sure to bring a smile to your face.

This ride follows VT 100 and 107 north to VT 14 in South Royalston. Follow VT 14 north to the floating bridge in Brookfield. Continue north on Route 14 to Barre. Next is superb twisty VT 232. Take US 302 and VT 25 to Bradford. Then pretty Lake Morey and Lake Fairlee to twisty routes 113 and 132. Finish with Route 4 (stop at Quechee Gorge), Route 100A, and VT 100 back to Killington.

Lunch is at the the Colatina Exit restaurant in Bradford or at Tuckerbox in White River Junction.

Great day of riding around central Vermont with a group of friends. Enjoyed seeing the floating bridge and the lunch at Colatina Exit was very good. VT 232 is indeed an absolute hoot if you can get it with no traffic in front of you!
