Riding scenic rural and residential roads through many small towns across Worcester County. Passes several small ponds and reservoirs. Great lunch stop options, depending on your timing and a great ice cream ending at Rota Spring Farm.

Just rode this today, cutting off the beginning  metro-west section and starting in Hopkinton. Started around 9:00 AM and made Stone Cow Brewery in Barre for a great lunch stop about 1:00 PM. Ice create at Rota Spring is always a great way to end a ride (about an hour's ride after leaving Stone Cow).

This route covers a lot of areas that I know pretty well, though there were a few connecting roads that I hadn't ridden before. Clara Barton Road in Oxford was a new one for me and was pretty riding but horrible pavement. Recent rain last night had also washed a lot of debris out in the roads. There were several other scenic would-be-nice roads in really bumpy pothole condition along this route, but generally this is a very nice route and road conditions averaged out to "typical" for New England.

How were the road conditions at the time you RECENTLY rode?

    Good/Typical

Great ride with many roads that were new to me. Many turns and slower roads so it rode a little slower we anticipated and we had to skip a few sections near the of the ride.
