NER Notes

The St. Lawrence River (Mohawk: Kaniatarowanenneh, meaning “big waterway”) is the primary drainage outflow of the Great Lakes Basin. It traverses the Canadian provinces of Quebec and Ontario, and is part of the international boundary between Ontario, Canada, and the U.S. state of New York. This river provides the basis for the commercial Saint Lawrence Seaway.

This ride starts by following Routes 30 and 37 north to Massena, NY. The ride crosses the St. Lawrence to Cornwall, ON and then follows the river west to Johnstown. The ride then crosses the Ogdensburg-Prescott Bridge to lunch in Ogdensburg, NY. The route then follows NY 68, NY 56, Route 3, Route 30, and Forest Home Rd back to Lake Placid.

Lunch is at Little Italy in Ogdensburg, NY.
