If you love waterfalls, there is no better place in the Northeast to see them than in Ricketts Glen State Park, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. (About 45-60 minutes from Forksville, on some very scenic roads.) Most of the falls require an arduous (but spectacular!) hike to visit, but one of my personal favorites is Adams Falls, which is easily accessed by walking only several hundred feet down a path from a parking area located at 41.299506, -76.274315 (off PA Route 118).
